A fundamentally different approach.

Other acoustic products provide reduction of SPL levels and reduction of reflection by means of absorption and diffusion. Eighth Nerve products are not designed to do either of these things. Our patent pending products are designed to eliminate acoustic distortion at the source, simultaneously causing a reduction of frequency peaks and dropouts, resulting in a flatter, more accurate frequency response.

This is an example of a typical untreated room. The unaviodable primary room mode resides at around 90 Hz, and there are two more spikes around 2 KHz and 9 KHz. High frequencies roll off over 10 KHz, as is typical of an untreated room with carpet.

Using absorption and diffusion products, whether commercial or custom, there is a slight reduction of the two spikes at 2 KHz and 9 KHz, as well as a significant reduction of all high frequency energy above about 300 Hz. The room modes and lower frequencies are virtually unaffected, however, because absorptive materials always absorb much more high frequency energy.

Using the revolutionary Eighth Nerve products provides a reduction of all the peaks, and an increase in the frequencies that were lower than the mean. By reducing the acoustic distortion that causes these anomalies to occur in the first place, the result is a much more accurate frequency spread, better bass response, and treble output that matches the rest of the spectrum.
